Provides referrals/requests from seniors, community professionals, family, neighbors and caregivers and refers callers to their own programs and other services in the community

The Linked Together program is a "navigation" service that connects seniors to a variety of non-medical supports in the community to improve their health and well-being. Physicians can refer patients to this program for support in connecting seniors to any of the following:
  • General Information and Other Resources
  • Social Opportunities
  • Nutritional Supports
  • Physical Exercise Programs

Elder Guide: An online directory of services for seniors in the Kelowna area, created for our community. It provides valuable information about a variety of issues including home care and support, meals and food services, transportation, social options and much more.

Seniors 'Coffee' Breaks:
Provides a social opportunity for seniors to meet other seniors in their own neighbourhoods, and make connections. Drop-in at any group; no fee or registration required. See Community Events on the website for locations and times.

Better at Home:
Provides affordable, non-medical home support services to seniors. Services include Light housekeeping, Lawn mowing, Minor home repairs, Transportation, Grocery shopping, and Friendly visiting. Most services are available on a sliding fee scale and provided based on availability.

‘Eldernet’ Tech Mentoring:
Drop-in for computer mentoring and basic skills training are provided by volunteers at the office location on Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Eldernet: An interactive computer mentoring program with basic skills training provided by volunteers. Seniors can learn basic skills for using tablets, iPads and smartphones. This program will allow participants to learn more about new technology as well as being able to interact and build connections with other seniors.

Housing Options for Seniors Information Session:
(see Housing Directory on our website) Held on the second Thursday of each month from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Registration is required. Covers various housing and care options for seniors.

Happipad
An online home-sharing platform, matching senior ‘host’ with a ‘guest’, to share their home with. Click here to sign up. Ongoing support can be provided.

- Income tax preparation volunteer
- Handyperson

Income Tax Preparation:
Volunteers prepare simple income tax returns for low-income seniors. Must be 60 years or older. Drop off service only on weekdays between 9 am-4 pm, in March and April. They are unable to support taxes for self-employment, capital gains/losses, employment expenses, business/rental expenses, bankruptcies or recently deceased.

Safety Fair:
Held in recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Day every June, this event features over 40 vendors and provides presentations focused on the well-being of seniors in our community. Offers free hearing tests, health checks, and door prizes.

Drop-In (Crisis Counselling/System Navigation):
Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Individual help and support are offered including assistance with filling out government and pension forms, housing applications, and general questions.
