Residents of Greater West Kelowna aged 50 and older are invited to take part in the affordable programs offered by the Westside Senior Citizen's Service Association. These programs are designed to promote an active lifestyle, physical fitness, enjoyment, and mental sharpness.
The Westside Senior Citizens' Service Association is a registered charity and non-profit organization, operated entirely by volunteers who organize and host all programs and events. Membership is available at a low annual cost of $25/person, with a small fee for certain activities.
Programs and services vary but generally include art classes, bingo, bridge, card games, carpet bowling, carving, ceramics, choir, clogging, cribbage, floor curling, fitness activities, line dancing, and pool.
Every Tuesday from September to mid-May, a social gathering takes place at 1:00 p.m. in the main hall, with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. Enjoy some refreshments and a variety of entertainment in a welcoming atmosphere.
