Settlement Services - Salmon Arm

Shuswap Immigrant Services Society provide's programs and activities that assist in the settlement and adaptation of new Canadians to Canadian life and social culture.
Settlement Services includes:
  • Information about life in Salmon Arm and the Shuswap area, British Columbia, and Canada
  • Orientation to services available in the community
  • Referral to community resources
  • Help to prepare for the citizenship test
  • Conversation groups to improve your English language skills
  • One-on-one tutoring for English
  • English-language books for children, teens, and adults
  • A computer lab and Internet connection
  • Workshops: Computer Workshop, Saturday Workshop Series and Citizenship Workshop
  • Help with documents and applications: This includes applying for citizenship, renewing permanent resident cards renewing work and study permits, verifying immigration status, pathways to permanent residency, retrieving citizenship certificates
