Provides a variety of counselling services to children, adults and seniors in the Kelowna area.
Orchard Valley Counselling Services Inc. offers for fee individual counselling for children 5yrs and up, adults and seniors that are struggling with a variety of concerns such as:
- Autism
- Mental Health ie. depression, anxiety, OCD, BPD; etc.
- MVA counselling ie. ICBC
- Criminal Victim Assistance Program (CVAP)
- Domestic Violence
- Play & Art Therapy for trauma, anxiety
- Cognitive Assessment and Senior Support for Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia
- Addiction and Substance Misuse assessment, treatment and counselling
- Caregiver Support, counselling and resources
They provide affordable, and reduced rate for those that qualify due to financial hardship. These are 50 minute sessions at $40 with a practicum student, along with other reduced rates.
Some of the modalities utilized vary and are tailored to each individual client and their unique needs. The Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Clinical Social Workers can provide:
- Holistic and Integrative Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Therapy (MBSRT) & (MBCT)
- Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma
- Brief and Solution-Focused
- Positive Psychology
