YWCA BC Single Mothers’ Support Services provide single moms with individual or group support, connecting people with resources, referrals and community.
Individual Support:Family resource workers provide one-to-one support for single moms living in the Lower Mainland, including:
- Employment and education resources
- Parenting resources
- Legal information
- Resources for women who have experienced abuse and help with document completion.
Group Support: YWCA BC’s free support groups for single moms are facilitated, closed groups, available online and in person across the Lower Mainland, that offer peer support and community. The weekly group meetings are currently being offered online via Zoom or in person. All groups are accepting new participants for the waitlist or to join soon -
