Volunteering for Crisis Centre of BC

Provided by Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC (Crisis Centre)

The Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of BC (Crisis Centre) is a non-profit, volunteer organization committed to helping people help themselves and others deal with crisis.
Each year the Crisis Centre delivers workshops to approximately 10,000 people on suicide intervention and prevention. We handle between 35,000 to 40,000 chats and calls per year from people who are in crisis. All of this is not possible without support from administration, technology and fundraising.Applications are made online. Some programs have age or location requirements. Visit the website for further details. Once you have applied to volunteer, we will match your interest, availability and skillset with available positions. Letters of reference will be provided after 100-200 hours of volunteer work, depending on the program.
