Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) - Kamloops North Shore

Patients who require medical attention within 12 - 24 hours but are not emergent.
The North Shore Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) provides team-based care for non-emergency health concerns to individuals within the North Shore and surrounding communities who require same-day attention.

If you do not have a family doctor/nurse practitioner, or you are unable to get an appointment with your care provider that day, you can visit the UPCC. A health-care team is available, virtually or in-person to provide care for your health issues.

Care is available for concerns such as:
  • Minor injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Infections
  • High fever
  • Less serious child illness and injury
  • Cuts, wounds or skin conditions

    If you need to access health-care services at the UPCC, please note that:
  • The North Shore UPCC opens 7:30 a.m. and walk-in patients will be prioritized by urgency.
  • All patients are triaged by a registered nurse upon arrival to the UPCC and referred to the most appropriate health-care provider. Not all patients will receive care from a physician/nurse practitioner.
  • The Kamloops UPCC central phone line opens at 10 a.m. Patients are triaged over the phone and available appointments will be booked based on urgency. To make an appointment please call 250-314-2256.
