EHN Edgewood Nanaimo - Inpatient Addiction Treatment & Related Mental Health Concerns

An adult addiction inpatient treatment centre for alcohol and drug addiction, problem gambling, anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and PTSD.
EHN Edgewood Nanaimo uses the inpatient treatment approach which is abstinence-based and uses the fundamentals of the 12 steps. This programs offers guidance and support after treatment for when patients encounter situations that cause stress and push them towards a relapse. This treatment program includes the following:
  • On-site clinical detox for substances like alcohol, cocaine, benzodiazepines, fentanyl or heroin
  • Process addictions like gambling and eating disorders
  • Specialized treatment for associated mental health disorders
  • Personalized care programs
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Supervised physical fitness
  • Relapse prevention

Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment is Also Available for the Following Conditions
  • Mood Disorders
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)
  • ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
  • Eating Disorders
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Personality Disorders
  • Dissociative Disorders

Other In-Person Programming
  • Family Care: Programs for both adults and children who love someone with a substance use disorder.
  • Insite Program (for adult family members): A 6-day residential program designed specifically for adults whose loved ones suffer from substance use disorders.
  • Bounce Back (for family members who are children): A 3-day program for the children whose parents suffer from addiction.
  • Indigenous Healing Program for Addiction: Inpatient substance addiction treatment grounded in Indigenous culture and tradition.
