Wellness Services for Aboriginal Women, Youth, Family and Senior Health

Provided by Okanagan Nation Alliance

To serve Okanagan Indian Band communities, specifically frail elderly, chronic disease, mental health and substance use clients and women’s health.
Appointments are made on an individual basis depending on the schedules of you and your worker(s).

Provides health and counselling services for an array of Aboriginal health inequities through spiritual education, healing and consultation. Offers Health services for Aboriginal Women and First Nations that have been affected by residential schools. Further to this, ONA provides services to family and their youth regarding mental health and parental/family decision making.

Referrals are provided based on individual need to the appropriate community services such as Self-help Groups, Aboriginal Community Legal Workers, Legal Aid, Employment Services, Health Services, Mental Health and Addictions, Victims Assistance, Aboriginal Patient Navigators, local Friendship Centres and Métis Community Services.

The workers can arrange visits to homes, hospitals, communities and correctional facilities or wherever you’re most comfortable.
