School Based Mental Health Services
Child Services, Mental Health - Child & Youth, and Youth Services
Provided by ARC Programs
Services provided:
- Individual and group counselling
- Integrated case management
- School-based liaison
- Psychoeducation
- Parent education and coaching
- Referrals to other community services
Referrals are generated by the school-based teams and come directly from the administration or school counsellors. High school students must be aware of the referral and consent to the school-based mental health counsellors services before they begin. Elementary school service begins following parental consent to their child’s involvement with our services.
- Services can be moderate in duration and intensity, but may also include longer-term service for youth requiring more support
- School-Based Mental Health Counsellors can offer assessment, individual and group counselling, integrated case management and consultation services
