The program offers a range of substance use services for youth aged 12 to 18, including prevention, early intervention, and outpatient treatment, delivered through various service models
Provides various alcohol and drug services in school and community settings:

Changes School-Based:Changes School-Based provides brief individual counseling, assessment, and case management services. Anyone can refer, including self-referrals
Eligibility
  • Youth 12-18
  • Experiencing moderate-to-high-risk problematic substance misuse and
  • Registered in a public middle or secondary school in School District #23

Changes School-Based Prevention Services:Changes School-Based Prevention provides individual brief & group counselling and school/community substance education. The program also supports school staff to use a prevention and education approach to substance use issues. Anyone can refer, including self-referrals
Eligibility
  • Youth
  • Identified as low to medium risk for substance use and
  • Registered in a middle school in School District #23


Changes Youth Justice Substance Use Counselling Services:Changes provides a continuum of outpatient treatment services to reduce or eliminate substance use. Must be referred by The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) Youth Probation team in Kelowna
Eligibility
  • Youth 12-18
  • On a youth probation order and
  • Having trouble with their substance use
