Men's Support Groups

Provided by Connect Counselling & Therapy Society

Offers drop-in and structured peer support groups for men to develop emotional regulation, healthier communication, relationship skills, and trauma-informed coping strategies.
Current available groups include:

Men in Change – Open group, Drop in – In Person Mondays 5:30pm-7:30pm
Men in Change is a process group for men who are interested in learning how to manage emotions and unhealthy conflict. Themes include: Unfairness, Boundary Work, Respectful Communication, Family Conflict, Solution-focused Work, Managing Anger, Emotional Intelligence, Shame and Resiliency and Building Sense of Self. This is a weekly drop-in group and is co-led by a male and female counsellor. Phone or email the office to receive an invitation to join.

Men4Men – Open Group, Drop in – In Person Wednesdays 6:00-8:30pm
A group for men striving to improve communication, relationships, are dealing with separation, divorce, grief or loss and other life stresses. Please phone or email the office to receive an invitation to join.

Roots of Self Discovery-Men’s Trauma Group
Group that aims to promote healthy relationships for men who have experienced childhood trauma. Group activities will vary weekly and cover topics such as trauma and the brain, window of tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness and elements of healthy relationships, among others.

Cost: Annual intake fee of $25.00. Group fee of $30 per group.
