Brain Injury Support Programs & Services

Provided by BrainTrust Canada

Provides brain injury prevention and education, rehabilitation services, and client advocacy.
Services are free of charge for those who meet eligibility and location requirements (clients need to be physically located in the North and Central Okanagan area). Services offered include:
  • Life Skills Support: Individuals are matched with a personal facilitator to support the identification, setting, and achievement of post-injury goals. Assistance is also provided in accessing the necessary resources to reach those goals.
  • Clinical Counseling: Clinical counsellors specializing in brain injury provide guidance and structure throughout the recovery journey, offering a safe space to navigate periods of uncertainty and personal growth.
  • Group Programs: Group programs offer the opportunity to connect with others on a similar path and provide additional support throughout the recovery journey.
  • Crime Prevention and Reduction Program: For individuals with a brain injury who are involved with the justice system, a range of services are available to support their recovery journey.
  • Caregivers Support Program: Offers a comprehensive support program to help caregivers navigate times of stress and uncertainty, accept change, recognize personal growth, and prevent burnout.
