Employment services and resources for residents in the Okanagan Area
Offers training programs to help those who are unemployed or underemployed and are seeking to improve their attachment to the labour force. With these programs, the goals are to help identify career goals and assist with job search, resume, cover letter, interview skills, and other job-relevant skills. The programs offered are:

Skills Training for Employment Program (STEPS): STEPs Program supports vulnerable individuals to employment through Skills Training and Employment supports so that they can achieve Sustainable Employment.

The Diverse Abilities Program: Provides employment supports to participants who self identifies as having diverse abilities. The program offers participants individualized, one-on-one support with an Employment Specialist. Participants receive employment counselling, a variety of training and learning opportunities, and workshops focused on the essential skills for success to obtain meaningful employment.

PEERS Employment Program: People who are at risk, experiencing, or have experienced homelessness face multiple barriers to employment. The program provides true wrap-around support, including mentorship, volunteering, training, and community/employment partnerships.

Options 55+: Is specifically designed to assist job seekers 55 years of age or better to re-enter the workforce. This program provides individuals with what they need to be successful: One-to-one support, group training modules and workshops, computer training, assistance in job search and much more. The program also partners with local community agencies, provides follow-up support and assists individuals in attaining skills training to prepare for work in their chosen career. All services are tailored to specific needs.


Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Program: Provides services to help immigrants find skilled employment in BC that uses the education and experience they bring to Canada. Customized to participant needs, including support specific to in-demand occupations. All training programs are free. Services are provided to residents of Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Princeton, and Osoyoos.

Youth Employment Skills Strategy (YESS): Assists Newcomers between the ages of 15 and 30 reach their career goals.
